Chocolate Pairing with NobleField.
A day withdogs and eating chocolate; these two things fit perfectly together.
Seriously, an event with the words Chocolates and Dogs should be enough to describe how this day was, just imagine a day out pairing chocolate and being allowed to bring your dogs to play off-leash…
For some, this became reality when we got together with our dogs and enjoyed the discovery of 5 pairing combinations with NobleField’s vegan chocolate.
The Google search results on “how to host a chocolate pairing” said that you should start with white chocolate then move on to mylk* chocolate and finish with dark chocolate.
We started with the 2 white chocolates; Carrot Cake paired with Cheese & Apple Pie paired with Lavender. Interestingly the Lavender brought out the flavour of the Apple Pie.
We moved on to the mylk* chocolates; Breakfast paired with Strawberry & Cappuccino paired with Biscuit and the Cappuccino was the favourite in this round.
Amazing local brands sent their products for the guest at the Chocolate Pairing event. The people were gifted with a pudding mix from NobleField, a little soap bar that looks like a chocolate bar from French Lemon. Montego sent a bunch of items like lanyards, food scoop, food samples and pens that came in handy when we marked our pairing scores and everyone received a Pet Prints Magazine. Let’s not forget to mention the cutest little yellow bowties, handmade with love by Floofy and Pawsy and the discount voucher from petheaven.
While the humans experienced all the tasty chocolate pairings, the dogs were living their best lives playing with each other. Some used their best puppy eyes to ask for chocolate and we all know chocolate is not good for dogs, but cheese; strawberries and pretzel were given instead.
Towards the end, it started to rain so we had to rush the final pairing of the dark chocolate Caramelised Pistachios paired Pretzel. It was a close call between the Cappuccino and the Caramelised Pistachios, but Caramelised Pistachios paired with Pretzels was the overall winner.
